Craft My Day Youth Art Club: A Safe Haven for Creativity and Community

At Craft My Day, we believe in the power of creativity to transform lives. That’s why we’re launching a crowdfunding campaign to establish a Youth Art Club at both of our studios. We want to create a safe, welcoming environment where local teens can gather, relax, and express themselves through art. In a world where screen time dominates, our mission is to provide a positive, hands-on alternative that fosters creativity, community, and self-expression.

We currently work with lots of teens through our paid Teens weekly clubs and through Malden Oaks, which gives us real insight into what positive impact having access to our facility can have. We want to give this opportunity to less advantaged teens who would benefit from the experience.

Why This Matters

Teenagers today face increasing pressures and challenges. Mental health struggles, social isolation, and a lack of safe, engaging spaces contribute to a growing crisis. We believe that art can be a lifeline—a way to process emotions, build confidence, and connect with others. Our Youth Art Club will be a place where teens can hang out, be themselves, and explore their creativity without judgment or pressure.

What We’ll Do

With your support, we’ll run weekly art sessions during term time at each of our studios. These sessions will be more than just art classes—they’ll be a community. Teens will have the freedom to explore different artistic mediums, from painting and drawing to sewing and sculpture. Our focus on upcycling and recycling will teach valuable lessons about sustainability while sparking creativity.

We also plan to collaborate with the local community on projects that give back. Whether it’s creating public art installations, upcycling materials into useful items, or working with local charities, these projects will help teens see the impact they can have on their community.

Why We Need Your Help

Running these sessions requires materials, qualified instructors, and a safe, comfortable space for the teens to gather. While we’re committed to making this happen, we need your support to cover the costs. By contributing to our campaign, you’re not just funding an art club—you’re investing in the future of our youth and our community.

We need to raise £1000 per 12 week term to keep each studio staffed and open for these teens sessions.
